Role Description
This is a remote, commission-based contract role. We are seeking an experienced Freelance Grant Writer to support funding efforts across our healthcare and global health initiatives. This is ideal for a self-driven professional with a strong track record of securing grants in healthcare, research, and innovation.
You will identify funding opportunities, develop compelling proposals, collaborate with leadership to align submissions with strategic priorities, and manage grant administration processes. Additional responsibilities include collaborating with internal teams to align proposals with organizational goals and supporting fundraising initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue grant opportunities (government, foundation, global health, and innovation funding)
- Write and submit high-quality grant proposals, concept notes, and funding applications
- Collaborate with leadership to translate programs into fundable proposals
- Develop budgets, narratives, and supporting documentation
- Align proposals with funder priorities, including equity, innovation, and measurable outcomes
- Track submissions, deadlines, and reporting requirements
- Support grant reporting and impact summaries as needed

- Healthcare systems transformation & population health
- Maternal health & maternal mental health

- Research program development and evaluation

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Proven success securing grants in healthcare, public health, or research
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex healthcare or research concepts into compelling proposals
- Experience with program design, evaluation frameworks, and impact metrics
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and deadline management
- Ability to work independently in a remote, results-driven environment

Commission-based structure tied to successful grant awards
Competitive percentage based on grant size and scope
